THEME OF THE CALL
The theme of the Call is “After all – after oil”. The theme "After all – after oil" allows the participants to explore green transition, the transformations in our societies and landscapes, imagine the future world, and question our relationship with nature or energy production. Geological realities, the textile industry and its ecological impact, the ongoing energy transition, dependence on oil or new alternatives, changing landscapes... Post-Oil invites participants to look into the reality of our society, where oil is omnipresent, but also to imagine a world ‘after’ oil, in both its positive and negative aspects. For example, artists such as Peter Iain Campbell explore this theme by capturing post-industrial landscapes and oil rigs in the North Sea to bring the viewer "on a dystopian journey".
